Korto Momolou is one of the contestants on Project Runway Season 5. Originally from Liberia, she got her fashion design training in Canada then moved to Arkansas to pursue her passion. She loves to weave traditional African designs into contemporary clothing to create that one-of-a-kind item.
When she is not working on her designs, she works as a freelance photographer, and does some African braiding. She also dabbles in makeup. It will be interesting to see how she does on Project Runway. Wonder if she will be a high-strung sister, or if she will focus more on showcasing her talent to the world. She already did well in the first episode where she was one of the top three designers. The challenge was to make clothing out of unusual sources. Let’s see if she continues the trend in the second episode.
