Cote Minou Wins African Fashion Designers Competition

A model shows a design by Korto Momolu at the the 1st annual African Fashion Designers Competition at Zanzibar on May 30, 2009 in Washington, DC. The show featured contemporary designs inspired by traditional African styles.

Korto Momolu was on hand to showcase some of the best in African fashion design and modeling at Zanizbar, on the Washington DC waterfront. The crowd was treated to a wonderful display of great African fashion.
Designers that were represented include Knaf Coutour, Cote Minou, and Korto Momolu. The grand winners of the competition were Cote Minou (Jamati.com is especially proud since one of the designers writes often for us).
Here is a showcase of some of the fashions that were on display there.
