In attendance were all kinds of high status people representing west africa, from businessman and women, representatives of the Embassy , upcoming designers, artists, the African parade committee, DJ’s from all parts of the country and of course the main reason of the event, the designers. From Guninea, Bebe Noir; from Senegal, Aysa Boutique; from Madagascar, Haingotiana; from the Republic of Congo, Sulia Mbula; From Guyana, Alex Rotin; and Amy Camara from Cote d’ Ivoire.

These designers carried through the main vision of the show which was “Elegance Africa”, showing people that African fashion is so very elegant, from the fabrics to their prints and the creativity that goes into making these designs.  Thanks to DJ Birane and the Elegance Africa Fashion Show committee for a beautiful evening.

Thanks soooo much for publishing this. My mother is a huge fan of Amy Camara, and I like her too. But, her clothes are ususally made for older women. Do you think that if clothes were made a bit more hip and fun, people of different diverse backgrounds would want to wear African prints?
