She has a keen sense of style, puts outfits together from pieces that seemingly wouldn’t work well and, voila, it’s a masterpiece.  Meet Marian Kihogo, a Ghanian fashion stylist, celebrity stylist, fashion writer and creative consultant.  She is the go-to person for the coolest shoes, the best accessories, and the finest outfits.  Considered a fashion icon in the U.K., her style advice is considered gold.

Her launch into fashion started when she was visiting a friend whose mother was hosting a dinner party.  The dress the mother wore was beautiful but not flattering so Marian styled the outfit for her, making her look great.  She was so grateful that she referred her friends to Marian.  The rest is history.  Marian is the Associate Editor for Glossy Magazine and maintains a style blog that features uniquely stylish, hard-to-find items.

She also styles celebrities including Tolula Adeyemi, a Nigerian model, actress and businesswoman.  It is very obvious that she does not shirk from looks that some might think are a little too adventurous, and, from the accolades she gets, she obviously is right (I guess having an artistic mother and grandmother helped). In an interview with Fa’shoe’nista, she says, “I am mostly inspired by people (clients and non clients) who are unapologetic in their personal style, whatever it may be.”
