Nnenna’s claim to fame is her appearance as a contestant on America’s Next Top Model reality show cycle 6. She was a tough contender and was thought to be in the running for the title of America’s Next Top Model. Unfortunately she was voted off the show. That did not impede her ambition to be a model. Nnenna was recently spotted under the tents at Bryant Park’s New York Fashion Week strutting her stuff for the fashion duo, Heatherette, and trendy design house, Imitation of Christ. She was also in a recent spread in Essence and at present she works for O Model management which is headed by super-model-turned-fasion-mogul, Oluchi.
Nnenna’s story is an interesting one. She was born in Houston, Texas but spent 12 years in Nigeria. She has a strong Ibo accent which causes some people to question whether she really was born in the United States. One thing is certain – she is proud of her African roots. Nnenna is not just another pretty face – she holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Texas A&M University. She commutes frequently between New York and London and was seen at the October Nigerian Independence Day celebrations in the Big Apple.

I am so excited to see that Nnenna has achieved some level of success. New York Fashion Week? Congrats! And you have a contract with Oluchi? I am so very proud of these two successful Nigerian women.

I am very proud of you girl. You were indeed a very strong candidate to win the title of America Next Top Model 6. Your presence in the show in my opinion helped Tyra deal with the opinion and feeling she has in relation to Africa.

I loved Nnenne in the beginning of the show. But felt she was changing ( maybe it was the intial high pedal she placed on) and becoming really boring and the spark was lost. I think she made up her mind she was better cos of her background and she lost her focus. Good luck to your future. I wish you well.
