Cote Minou Wins African Fashion Designers Competition
Korto Momolu was on hand to showcase some of the best in African fashion design and modeling at Zanizbar, on the Washington DC waterfront. The crowd was treated to a wonderful display of great African fashion.

Boris Kodjoe brings Ziami home to Ghana
Exopa Model Agency International has left nothing to chance in order to ensure that this year’s Ghana Fashion Weekend turns heads in the fashion world. This year, joining the numerous fashion designers from Ghana and across Africa would be Ghanaian-German Hollywood actor, Boris Kodjoe. The ‘Soul Food’ star will get the chance to showcase his Ziami clothing line to Ghanaians for the first time and also use the opportunity to find out more about his father’s home country.
Korto to judge first DC’s First Annual African Competition
The summer is here and the D.C, Maryland, Virginia area has begun again with its series of booming activities to keep you going all the way till September. This Saturday May 30th, the 1st Annual African Fashion Competition (AAFC) will take place at Zanzibar on the D.C Waterfront from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Set up by Bisi Entertainment & Talent Group in collaboration with Jules Management & Consulting, the event is anticipated to be the beginning of a new tradition for the area residents to be part of.
Ethiopian is Germany’s Next Top Model.
On May 20th 2009, 19 year old Ethiopian, Sara Nuru, was announced the winner of the wildly successful reality show that started in America and has now spread to Germany and Canada. The East African beauty beat 21,000 other applicants who auditioned for the show and was named winner at the end of the show that ran for three months.

Fashion For Peace 2009 – Kofi Ansah
Fashion for Africa’s Chief Designer was celebrated Ghanian designer, Kofi Ansah. Formerly based in London, Ansah studied design at Chelsea in the United Kingdom and graduated with first class honors.
He has been a major player in the Ghanian fashion industry and is the founder and past president of the Federation of African Designers, the fabric designer for the Ghana @50 Golden Jubilee Celebrations as well as costume designer for the CAN 2008 African Cup of Nations. » Read more…
Under The Stars–Fashion For Peace
In its 2nd annual show the glamorous Fashion for Peace festival was held under a classic tent set-up under the stars at the Nairobi National park, the world’s only game park in a city. Organized by Festival for African Fashion and Arts (FAFA), the event brought together some of Africa’s top fashion designers and models on an interesting and attractive fashion show.
