Washington D.C. is famous for it’s politicians and powerplayers, but there is another side to it…a creative side teeming with scores of artists, musicians, models and designers who are meeting incredible success in their respective professions.

Cote Minou Wins African Fashion Designers Competition

Korto Momolu was on hand to showcase some of the best in African fashion design and modeling at Zanizbar, on the Washington DC waterfront.  The crowd was treated to a wonderful display of great African fashion.

Côté Minou has been making waves in the Washington DC area with their innovative styles and creative designs. Maryanne Mokoko and Stephanie Mouapi weave creative designs, and great colors into an elegant tapestry full of vibrant color and patterns. From Howard University’s Homecoming, to George Washington University’s Taste of Africa, they have made an impact in the DC Metro area’s fashion scene.
