David Tlale to Show His Designs at New York Fashion Week
David Tlale, winner of the Arise Africa Fashion Week Designer award, will be showcasing his designs at the New York Fashion Week in September 2009. Tlale’s designs have been lauded in South Africa and he is considered one of the premier fashion designers in South Africa and internationally.

ARISE Africa Fashion Week
The Arise Africa Fashion Week went on from June 12 2009 to June 20, 2009 with a grand prize winner getting a chance to showcase their designs in New York’s Fashion Week. This was a great opportunity for the budding designers to get their work showcased on one of the most prestigious catwalks in the world.
The designers that participated came from South Africa, Madagascar, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, Guinea, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Angola, Ivory Coast, Namibia, Martinique, Mozambique, Egypt, Botswana and Morocco. South Africa to host Miss World 2008

David Tlale turned heads with his Spring/Summer collection at the Johannesburg Fashion Week . The story that his collection tells is one that will pave way for his future collection not only nationally, but internationally. Looking at his collection and comparing it to other designers, one can tell that this man is not only different but he sure has what it takes to showcase his collection on the same runway with other internationally known designers.
