Fat Joe and Omarion Rock Ghana

The much anticipated “State of the Republic Concert” which was billed to bring Sean Kingston and Fat Joe to Ghana had its fair share of drama, the stuff Hollywood movies are made of. It almost became the “State of Confusion Concert” when organizers were plunged into a state of uncertainty and rescheduling. Sean Kingston pulled out at the last minute apparently because his mum advised him against taking the recommended yellow fever shot before going to Ghana. What a big mama’s boy! But I reckon that the chubby superstar is really afraid of needles because frankly he could have gone against his mum and then later sing ‘Dry Your Eyes’ for his mother. LOL!

Beautiful Ghana Girls Ready to Lean Back….

sean-kingston-2.jpgI know this may sounds a bit corny but I couldn’t find a better way to express myself about Sean Kingston and Fat Joe’s visit to Ghana. After all the brought us smash hits like ‘Beautiful Girl’ and ‘Lean Back’ respectively. Haha! The two artists in Ghana for a one of a kind concert dubbed “State of the Republic Concert” and are billed to perform on Saturday July 19 at the Accra International Conference Centre. They will be supported by Ghanaian/UK rap superstar Sway and a host of other local supporting Acts.

This Day cuts Naomi Campbell, Local Acts from Program

Why, oh why, can’t we be on time? This Day had it’s highly publicized show in Nigeria over the weekend and boasted a roster of great names. Unfortunately most of them were not showcased as the show started 5 hours late. Africans actually waited 5 hours to watch the show….we are incredibly tolerant.

Rihanna and Jay-Z perform at Thisday FestivalOr maybe it was the fact that each person paid up to 60,000 naira (about $580) to get a seat. Either way, I know I would be demanding my money back, a freebie, or a chance to go backstage and get autographs! Give me something!
