Africa brings its fashion to New York

This year’s Africa Fashion Week New York (AFWNY) was held July 11 -17th and it featured designers from several African countries, such as Korto Momolu (Project Runway Season 5), Gloria Wavamunno and Kiko Romeo. Below, an interview with the event’s director Adiat Disu.

Jamati Online: What was the inspiration behind AFWNY?
Africa Fashion Week New York (AFWNY) was simply inspired by Africa’s talent. We strive to give talented designers a platform to showcase their designs, promote their brands and raise their visibility on a global fashion stage.
