Soul Boy – A young boy must save his father’s soul
Nairobi, Kenya. 14 year-old Abila (Samson Odhiambo) lives with his parents in Kibera, one of the largest slums in East Africa. One morning the teenager discovers his father ill and delirious. Someone has stolen his soul, mumbles the father as he sits huddled in a corner. Abila is shocked and confused but wants to help his father and goes in search of a suitable cure.

Wanuri Kahiu Wins Big in African Academy Awards
Wanuri Kahiu is a mild-mannered young lady with a charming spirit. Her movies show her understanding of the audience she is trying to reach and her ability to draw them into the story she is telling. A graduate of the University of Warwick, UK where she earned a BSc degree in Management Science in 2001, she went on to enroll in the Masters of Fine Arts program in Directing in the School of Film and Television at the University of California, Los Angeles where she received the Motion Pictures of America Associates Award and the Hollywood Foreign Press Award for distinguished director.
