African Screens:Celebrating The African Sense of Self Through Cinema
From his passion for telling stories through cinema, Donald Dewale Omope, an accredited NUJ journalist, skilled photographer and filmmaker has co-established a first of it’s kind platform to celebrate the African Identity. As he points out in this interview with Jamati Entourage ‘Seun Johnson, his African Screens, an online film publication creates a forum for articulating ( in a robust discourse) the plurality of views. This platform facilitates a better understanding of Africans via cinema while garnering respect for African stories and her peoples.

Wanuri Kahiu Wins Big in African Academy Awards
Wanuri Kahiu is a mild-mannered young lady with a charming spirit. Her movies show her understanding of the audience she is trying to reach and her ability to draw them into the story she is telling. A graduate of the University of Warwick, UK where she earned a BSc degree in Management Science in 2001, she went on to enroll in the Masters of Fine Arts program in Directing in the School of Film and Television at the University of California, Los Angeles where she received the Motion Pictures of America Associates Award and the Hollywood Foreign Press Award for distinguished director.
