Esperance win 2008 Tunisia FA Cup Hicham Aboucherouane struck twice as Esperance beat Etoile du Sahel 2-1 to win the Tunisian FA Cup on Saturday. The Moroccan international gave Esperance a 12th minute lead after a defesive mix-up by the Etoile rearguard. The lead was short-lived, as Mehdi Meriah equalized within five minutes for last year’s African Champions League winners. However, Aboucherouane was to have the last word. With 11 minutes left on the clock, he pounced to score the winner and ensure a record breaking 12th cup success for the Blood and Gold.
