Together with a host of partners, the team has embarked once more to enlighten, entertain and expose the willing residents of the Washington, DC metropolitan area to a little of what Africa has to offer.  The ticket holds an itinerary of activities guaranteed to provide a taste of this rich culture. Jamati was in the house for the Passport to Africa Poetry Showcase. The event was held in Washington, D.C. at Bohemian Caverns, a famed club where jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Billy Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Thelonius Monk and Winton Marsalis have performed.
