Best of African stars storm Nairobi for AMAA nominations night
Nairobi will dazzle with stars, glitz and glam from February 25-26, as the biggest stars and practitioners in the African movie industry storm Kenya for this year edition of Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) nominations party. Practitioners from all the participating countries of the awards scheme are expected to converge on the East Africa nation for the announcement who gets nominated for what. 
The event which will take place on Friday Night at the Laico Regency Hotel will be attended by Joke Silva and her husband Olu Jacobs alongside Rita Dominic, Mercy Johnson, Ini Edo, Mike Monsuruye, Jackie Appiah, Lynda Forson, Kate Henshaw Nuttal and Mike Ezeronye among others who have signified their intention to attend the event.

Stakeholders of the African movie industry were on tenterhooks on March 6, as all attention shifted to Accra, Ghana for the announcement of nominees for the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). The glitzy nominations party brought together some of the crème in the industry from all over Africa to celebrate the growth of African movies in the past year and to observe which movies, actors and technical players were deemed fit by the Academy for laurels this year.

Nollywood’s Rita Dominic to Dine With Malawi Fans
Renowned Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, will in May this year dine and wine with her Malawian fans following the launch of the Multichoice Malawi- Africa Magic promotion that is being run jointly by South African airways, Malawi’s Sunbird Hotel Group, and Malawi’s biggest news paper group, Nation Publications Limited (NPL).

Rita Dominic is the silky-skinned girl with the degree in theater arts with an impressive list of movies that she has been in since 1998. She has a B.A. degree in Theater arts and, like her friend, Carol Ekanem, belongs to a royal family (the Wataruocha royal family).

Caroline Ekanem – Nollywood Princess, Nigerian Princess
Caroline Uduak Abasi Ekanem is a princess from the royal family of Ekanem in Eket, Cross River State in Nigeria. She is the child of a British father and a Nigerian mother who loves singing and acting. She started off in modeling (which she did for three years), and then moved into acting, thanks to her friend, Rita Dominic.
