Ghana to host 2014 Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature in Africa

The Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature in Africa was established by The Lumina Foundation in 2005. The prize honors Africa’s great writers bringing recognition to their work. They also make books available and affordable by subsidizing the publication of books in their top list.

London Olympics 2012: Kenyan Dunford makes semi-finals and South Africa wins gold in rowing

Jason Dunford is probably most famous for being the Kenyan that beat Michael Phelps in 2008 (albeit briefly) and putting Kenya on the map.  Phelps came back to win it but we remembered Dunford.
