Four Africans gain Level 3 International Rugby Board certification

Paul Odera, a defense coach for the Nondies rugby club, attained the highest level of the International Rugby Board’s (IRB) certification, a level 3 certification. Level 3 is the highest coaching award in the world, in the sport of rugby. An IRB educator in the country, he already trains other coaches in the level one course, in conjunction with the Kenya Rugby Union. Godwin Karuga qualified as a level 3 match official. Zimbabwe coach Brighton Chivandire and Ugandan official Ramsey Olinga also gained their level 3 certifications in their respective fields. 13 Africans competed in this year-long event, but only four qualified.
