Freshlyground to perform at Jammin Java

Freshlyground will be performing at the Jammin Java in Vienna, VA on March 21, 2013 at 7 p.m.  This afro-fusion South African group have been impressing crowds since their formation in 2002.

Have your say, what do you think of Shakira’s official FIFA World Cup 2010 anthem”Waka Waka”?

As much as I love Shakira a ton, I am not in tune with the decision made for her “Waka Waka“ song to be made the anthem song for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. I personally feel like Africa has more than enough talent that this opportunity could have been given to one of our own.

It’s Africa’s turn and I hope I’m not the only one who feels that an African artist deserved the spotlight. Yes the song features one of the most talented groups in SA (Freshly Ground), that still is not enough. It is sad that our own talent goes unrecognized while everyone else is placed first.
